CHANTAL WEI-YING CLÉMENT

Chantal is the Deputy Director of IPES-Food.  She holds a PhD in Political Science from Carleton University, where she taught undergrad courses on the politics of food. Her research focuses on local food systems, governance and agroecology. Her work in the EU, North America, and West Africa has included projects on community food security, corporate concentration in the food system, and food sovereignty.

JOONA MIKKOLA

Joona is a nature-based solution expert and founder at Soil Watch, a climate tech start-up that helps to build and finance large scale landscape restoration and regenerative agriculture projects in the Global South. Joona has consulted with several UN agencies, such as the WFP, the ILO and the CGIARs, living on the frontier of the climate crises in Sahel.

Sue is the chief executive of the UK Food, Farming & Countryside Commission. She has extensive experience working with leaders in businesses, governments and enterprises, blending the academic and the practical for sustainable systems change. Sue lives with her family on an organic, permaculture, livestock farm in Wales.

ffinlo is the chief executive of Farmwel and founder of the Food & Global Security Network.  He has worked in politics and with NGOs for 25 years, and has spent periods as a journalist and broadcaster.  ffinlo also produces the Farm Gate podcast.
